Antique novelty sterling silver corkscrew wonderfully modelled as a running fox.
It carries the sponsors mark of Andrew Barrett & Sons, the London hallmark date letter is hard to determine but because the mark of Andrew Barrett was not registered until late 1892 and the shape of the date letter punch is Victorian we can determine it dates to between 1892 and 1896.
Fox is cast sterling silver, the screw section is steel.
Excellent order and measures 87mm nose to tail.
