Folding fruit knives have developed over the years to become a very common type of knife. Therefore, they can be found in homes everywhere. This antique evolved through the Edwardian, Georgian and Victorian ages and as a result became a common utensil and was carried by men and women of many classes. As a result, this type of fruit knife is found across the world.
Fruit knives that do not fold, that is to say, fixed blade knives, are also to be found. Although perhaps not as convenient, in that they cannot be so easily stored in a pocket or handbag, they are likewise equally functional when it comes to peeling and cutting up fruit!
