Hallmarked from Edinburgh in 1937 with the makers mark being that of Brook & Son.
In immaculate order , measuring 127mm in length, the bowl measures 64mm across.
A similar example is illustrated in The Treasure of Traprain, Brook & Son p6, The Traprain silver hoard was discovered at Traprain Law, East Lothian in 1919.The hoard dates from the early 5th century AD and is now in the collection of The National Museum of Scotland.
