English antique sterling silver vesta case by Walker & Hall, hallmarked from Chester in 1920.
No dents or damage, just a few scuffs but these are mainly on the backside, retains its gilt interior and has a clean base striker, opens and closes with full tension and closes with a pleasing ‘Snap’.
It is engraved to the front with an inscription dated 3 years before the case was made.
Inscription reads ‘ Corpl G Evans A.S.C from the parishioners of Llancalfan 1917.
