Antique English two handled sterling silver serving tray of considerable size and weight by Atkin Brothers, hallmarked from London in 1896.

In very nice order and has the presentation inscription that was engraved on it from being first made.

The engraving reads ” To J A Dursbury Esq Postmaster of Hull 1881 to 1886 Testimonial in recognition of the efficent and corteous discharge of his duties and of his untiring and successful efforts for the improvement of the Postal Service of Hull and District December 1896″

In very good order , it does have small surface marks from useage but nothing outwith what would be expected from a piece of its age and overall could be described as being in excellent order.

Measures 29.5 x 20.75 inches.
