English sterling silver holy oil bottle,The letter “I” on a holy oil bottle typically stands for “Oleum Infirmorum,” which translates to “Oil of the Sick” or “Oil of Healing,” and is used in the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, the SC is for sanctum Chrism, most probably and whilst the hallmarks match the lid should have been on a bottle with I and the SC body would have had a lid with SC on it, it would appear that the lids at some point have been mixed up, sadly I only have what is shown here, lid fits perfectly.
