Scottish sterling silver salver/drinks tray by Mary Nugent who is described at the time of her registration as being an Art Student from Wallsend on Tyne.
It is hallmarked from Edinburgh in 1952, made to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
This will be a one off piece and is not mass produced.
Decorated with a series of Royal Crowns.
The main side is nicely polished, the underside is very raw and unfinished and the punching of the crowns to the front has left a series of marks to the base.
A very nice piece which measures 232mm in diameter and is of excellent weight.
