English sterling silver cigarette box in the form of a sandwich box, made by Henry Matthews and hallmarked from Birmingham in 1920.

Monogram to thew top of each lid and the dates 1911-1936 engraved to front which would suggest it was a gift for a 25th silver anniversary, the monogram being most probably the husband and wife who were gifted the box.

wooden lined interior but lids are all silver, retailed by Edward of Glasgow.

In very nice order, a few very small pinhead sized dinks, all minor and nothing at all drastic or unsightly.

It measures 140x88mm, 33mm tall to lid, 55mm approx to top of handle.

A super piece with both lids closing snugly.
