English antique sterling silver shell pattern soup ladle by (possibly) William Tant, hallmarked from London in 1764.

Marks a little rubbed as one might expect but we can see its from London 1764, The makers mark is worn and appears to be similar to a mark attributed by Grimwade as William Tant, however Tant was not made free until 1766.

It measures 340mm in length with bowl measuring 92mm across its widest point.
