Scottish sterling silver & enamel Edinburgh Eastern General Hospital nursing badge, hallmarked from Edinburgh in 1960 with the makers mark being that of Alexander Kirkwood & Son.
Engraved to reverse side with ” 14 Margaret Barclay 20.11.61 “.
Condition is very good but should be noted there is slight enamel damage beneath the BU of Edinburgh at bottom of the badge, enamel is only lightly chipped to the top surface and does not go through to expose the silver in this area, best seen in the 3rd image.
Measures 39x33mm.
A very scarce badge and one you will not find every day of the week.
