A super quality sterling silver gilt enamel medal of The Coat of Arms of Dundee, this being the Lord Provost (Mayor) of Dundee’s badge/coat of arms, hallmarked from Birmingham in 1967 with the makers mark being that of Deakin & Francis Ltd.
The reverse is engraved with the name Robert Doyle, he was never the Lord Provost but there was a Robert Doyle named a councillor at the time when Alexander Mackenzie held the office, it would appear councillors may have worn when on official duty with the mayor.
In first class condition with no damage.
Just the main part measures 50x47mm.
