Excellent late Victorian set of 4 sterling silver embossed salt cauldrons with 4 salt spoons all complete within their original fitted case, hallmarked from Chester in 1893 with the makers mark being that of James Deakin & Sons..
No damage as such to any piece but it should be noted that 2 of the salts are quite black to the inside and will require a more indepth polish, 2 of the spoons also have loss of the gilt on their bowls, looks to suggest 2 were used regularly and 2 were not.
Each salt measures 90mm across the handles and stand 53mm tall at highest point of the handle, the spoons each measure 67mm in length.
