Scottish sterling silver tea caddy spoon, hallmarked from Glasgow in 1944
A Silver Caddy Spoon, Robert Allison, Glasgow 1944 with the makers mark being that of Robert Allison.Hammered finish to underside of bowl.
In excellent order and measures 96 mm in length.
Compared to other spoons, caddy spoons have shorter handles and shallower bowls. The spoon handle is shorter and, as a result, the spoon can be stored with the tea in a tea caddy. The shallow bowl is to accurately measure out the right amount of tea leaves.
