English antique sterling silver caddy spoon by John Lawrence & Co, hallmarked from Birmingham in 1817.

In good clean order.

There has been an erasure of an initial on the handles terminal, not instantly noticeable but will be seen when inspected using a loupe.

Measures 75mm in length and 31mm across its bowl.

English Antique Sterling Silver Caddy Spoon by John Lawrence & Co, hallmarked from Birmingham in 1817.

This is a silver Caddy Spoon, John Lawrence & Co, Birmingham 1817 in good clean order.

There has been an erasure of an initial on the handle’s terminal, not instantly noticeable but will be seen when inspected using a loupe.

Measures 75 mm in length and 31 mm across its bowl.

Compared to other spoons, caddy spoons have shorter handles and shallower bowls. The spoon handle is shorter and, as a result, the spoon can be stored with the tea in a tea caddy.  The shallow bowl is to accurately measure out the right amount of tea leaves.
