A sterling silver and enamel sentry box vesta case, the enamel panel features a soldier from the The Royal Horse Guards.
These vestas were originally made by Sampson Mordan and are highly collectable items, this example whilst looks very similar is not by Sampson Mordan and does not carry the same age as its collectable cousin.
Its in good order with some minor surface scuffs.
Measures 57x23x9mm.
Simply marked ‘sterling’ to the base so difficult to age with accuracy nor determine the maker.
