Scottish Silver 4 Piece Teaset, Robert Stewart, Glasgow 1911

A super clean condition 4 piece hallmarked solid sterling silver tea set comprising of teapot,hot water pot,sugar bowl and cream jug, all hallmarked from Glasgow in 1911 with the maker being that of Robert Stewart.

Hallmarks are crystal clear, no play/wobble to the 2 lids.

All 4 pieces carry the initials LR, the teapot has a small inscription which is located on the actual base so thankfully not on the main body of the pot, this reads ” From Aunts Helen & Thomasina Smith to Lily Ure June 1912″.

Condition is fantastic with just one small dink to the spout of cream jug and another small dink on body of the hot water pot, both very minor and nothing at all which could be considered drastic or unsightly .

Tea Pot measures approx 10 3/4 inches in length and weighs 778 grammes.

Hot Water Pot stands just short of 8 inches tall and weighs 747 grammes.

Sugar Bowl measures just over 6 1/2 inches across the handles and weighs 394 grammes.

Cream Jug stands 3 1/2 inches tall and weighs 302 grammes.

A fantastic set which may not even have been used as condition is so good with no staining to the inside of the teapot.
