Description
Scottish Provincial Silver Sugar Tongs
Scottish provincial silver sugar tongs dating to c.1780, marked IC and an anchor on one arm and IC and a single masted ship on the other, partial rubbing to the marks, we believe this may well be the John Campbell? mark of Greenock.
The outside of bow features a single masted ship crest (we have not researched this).
The inside of the bow shows an old very good repair but is not evident at all on the outside of bow , possibly a small hairline not going all the way through that was filled at some point.
They measure 150mm in length.
