During the Victorian Era, the rise of silver brandy decanter labels, often called tags or bottle tickets had been in use for quite some time. This was because many people still used decanters to let the wine breathe. In addition this helps settle out sediments that are found in well-aged red and white wines. The tags allow for easy identification.
