The crest is that of the Reid Clan with the motto In Sublime.
Hallmarked from Glasgow in 1874 with the makers mark being that of Duncan Ferguson.
It does have a few stubborn marks and the blades tip does have a couple of small nibbles.
Measures 218mm in length.
