Description
Silver Caddy Spoon
This is a novelty American Silver Caddy Spoon, Paye & Baker c.1910. It has a heart shaped bowl with enamel playing card suits, hearts & diamonds in red enamel and clubs & spades in black enamel.
It is in superb condition with no defects.
Measures 121 mm in length and measures 46 mm across the widest part of the bowl.
Compared to other spoons, caddy spoons have shorter handles and shallower bowls. The spoon handle is shorter and, as a result, the spoon can be stored with the tea in a tea caddy. The shallow bowl is to accurately measure out the right amount of tea leaves.
