Late Victorian Sterling Silver Vesta Case of large size with extensive bright cut decoration.
Lid closes perfectly and in fact its perfect but for a light shallow dink to cartouche which looks to have been caused by a heavy finger or thumb pressing on that part , not in our opinion a major defect.
Measures 53x42mm.

Late Victorian Sterling Silver Vesta Case of large size with extensive bright cut decoration.
The case has a lid that closes perfectly and, in fact, it’s perfect except for a light shallow dink to its cartouche which looks to have been caused by a heavy finger or thumb pressing on that part, not in our opinion a major defect.
Well to do people owned Vesta cases made of gold or silver, while the common folk had cases of tin or brass.
This case measures 53 mm wide by 42 mm deep.
