Large sterling silver cigarette box of snuff box firm but way to large to be a snuff box.
Hallmarked from Birmingham in 1922 with the makers mark being that of William Base & Sons.
Splendid condition with no dents or damage, just some stubborn dark spot marks here and there (minimal).
Measures 148x85x38mm.
It carries a crest with the Latin motto of Virtutis Gloria Merces’ which translates into English as ‘ Glory is the reward of valour’ and is the family crest of of The Scottish Robertson clan.
