English antique sterling silver card case with the central circular cartouche on the front carrying an engraved monogram.
Hallmarked from Chester in 1909 with the makers mark being that of Jay, Richard Attenborough Co Ltd.
Wonderful clean order, retaining its gilt interior, no wear to the pattern and the hinge has no play on it.
Two small dinks and we are talking tiny on one side which can not be picked up by the camera as so minor.
A case of very good weight which measures 102x74mm.

This elegant card case bears crisp sterling silver hallmarks and Jay, Richard Attenborough & Co. branding. The maker retailed on Oxford Street since the late 19th century. Crafted in 1909, it showcases fine Edwardian style and quality.
The piece features intricate bright-cut scrolling foliage engraved on both outer panels. Jewel-like engraving frames a blank cartouche for personalization. Its slim, compact shape makes it perfect for pocket or desk display.
Collectors highly value this case for its London silversmith pedigree and pristine condition. Jay, Richard Attenborough & Co. traded from 1905 until the late 1950s, evolving from a firm established in 1796. This case reflects that rich history.
The sterling interior and smooth hinge remain fully functional with minimal wear. It opens with a satisfying snap and aligns precisely. This card case blends form, function, and period charm.
