Marked only sterling but we would say it was a good bet it will date to around 1940.
The back engraved with (To Major Bryan Grainger from The Officers of the 1st bn The Queen’s Royal Regt).
No loss to the black finish but a little patchy in areas, the reverse engraved side does have a number of small dinks.
Good weight and measures 124x85mm.
