A very scarce 9 carat gold farming/agricultural medal awarded to David Irons & Sons of Forfar for best collection of farm implements at the Angus Agricultural Association Jubilee Show Forfar July 1903.
The medal is hallmarked from Birmingham in 1898/99 and was made by Vaughton & Sons of Birmingham.
It measures 23.3 grammes and has a diameter of 39mm and comes presented within its case of issue.
Gold examples are very difficult to find as the majority of such medals were made from silver.
