English antique sterling silver vinaigrette with a lavish gilt interior.
Hallmarked from Birmingham in 1824 with the makers mark being T.S.
As you look at the first two images, note the position of the lid, it stays up in both these positions but will fall down if you try to have it at a 90 degree angle so a little loss of tension there.
Minor wear from use to the pattern on the base, very small suspicion of a couple of small bruises on base but it needs to be moved around in the light to sometimes spot them (very very minor).
Of very good weight and size, measures 41x26x11mm.
