English antique sterling silver snuff box by Francis Clark, hallmarked from Birmingham in 1834.
It carries an inscription to the lid which reads ‘Presented to Mr G Davidson School Master by his pupils as a token of their esteem for him as their teacher Whitburn 20 Feb 1847’.
Good order with just 3 small pinhead sized dinks on the lid, more seen on the gilt interior, harder to see them on the lid’s outside (very minor).
