English antique sterling silver snuff box by Alexander J Strachan, hallmarked from London in 1809.
Inscription engraved to the lid’s interior which reads ‘ Jos H to Ben Jan 6 1828.
Retains its gilt interior.
Two small bruises on lid that you need to move around in the light to pick up on, one small corner bruise on base, all very very minor and in no way detracts or draws your eye.
