English antique sterling silver nutmeg grater with double opening as in a top lid and a base lid.
Hallmarked from London in 1803 with the makers mark being that of Thomas Phipps & Edward Robinson
The detailing remains intact with no wear, only one small thing of note is on the top lid edge there is a small seem which is ever so slightly opened a little, camera picks up on it but very difficult to see with the naked eye as it is so small.
The internal fixed grater is made from steel.
