English antique sterling silver masonic snuff box.
Hallmarked from Birmingham in 1841 with the makers mark being that of Francis Clark.
In wonderful clean order retaining its gilt interior.
The lid is engraved with 12 Masonic symbols, the cartouche has been engraved but now very faded and we can not determine what this engraving said.
There is one small lid corner hairline, the corner just above the lid’s internal hallmarks, one small pinhead dink on lid which we can not see on the outside but see a small mark on the lid’s inside (very minor).
The engraved symbols are not as bold as they would have been when first engraved but all still can be easily made out.
Measures 61x38x15mm.
