Antique Sterling Silver Lockdown Inkwell, Frances Douglas, London 1840
English antique sterling silver & cut glass lockdown inkwell by Frances Douglas, hallmarked from London in 1840.
The inside of lid would have had a small leather or cork circular seal which is not present but would be easily replaced.
Condition is good with just small graze/nibbles on the glass on base corners, I can not see with the eye but can with a loupe.
Measures 48x48mm.
