An interesting very well made sterling silver hunting themed mount for something, exactly what we have been unable to determine.
Hallmarked from London in 1885 with the makers mark being that of Frederick Brasted.
4 large fox brushes spaced at regular intervals run from top to bottom around the piece, 2 fox and 2 hound masks, other decoration includes hunting horn, riding cap, stirrups, crop, hip flask.
On the base area there is no small lip which we would have expected had the piece had a glass liner.
It is in perfect order with no damage or repairs.
Measures 133x90mm and stands 54mm tall at the highest point.
