A larger example than average which is hallmarked from Sheffield in 1838 with the makers mark being that of John Nowill.
The blade springs back when closed so not going all the way home which can be seen in the images of it in the closed position, the reverse side of handle has an imperfection or repair , possible at time of manufacture. The very tip of blade area has a small crease making that section ever so slightly turn up (minor).
