English antique sterling silver folding fruit knife with nicely shaped and decorative mother of pearl handle.
Hallmarked from Birmingham in 1874 with the makers mark being that of George Unite.
A large and heavy example which because of the textured handle makes this one feel very comfortable in the hand.
It opens and closes with exactly the amount of tension it would have had the day it was made (It just does not get better), Locks half way and fully open and when closing it closes with a nice ‘snappy’ sound.
In very nice order and not even the slightest of spring-back of blade when in the closed position.
When opened it measures 160mm and when closed measures 90mm.
